Birthday Surprise!

At Winton, we love helping out our motor sport community - especially when it involves a surprise like this!

Doug reached out to us with a special request: he’d bought a race car for his son’s birthday and needed a spot to store it, so the surprise wouldn’t be spoiled. Of course, we were more than happy to help! We got to witness the big reveal to Lucas —blindfold off, a stunned silence, and then excitement as he laid eyes on his very own Subaru BRZ.

Lucas Edney loves his cars. He once drew a Ford XY Falcon for the Street Machine magazine. Whilst he loves practicing in his sim, he also puts his talents into action, competing in several Junior Driving Programs through Driver Dynamics. Lucas will start driving his Subaru BRZ at Winton’s skid pan to get use to the car before hitting the racetrack here.
