The 25th edition of the Ken Leigh 4 Hour lived up to all the hype, with a thrilling endurance race which in the end was decided by less than a second.

The 4 Hour Holden HQ race pays tribute to one of the founding members of the one-make series who passed away 25 years ago.

The Ken Leigh 4 Hour is one of the biggest HQ races on the calendar and the 2025 edition was no different with 18 cars, 36 drivers entered to compete for glory.

The race is split into two halves, with a two-hour stint on Saturday and a two-hour crack on Sunday.

At the end of the four-hour marathon the top two teams were split by just 0.46s after taking the lead just six laps from home.

Victory went the way of New South Wales duo Brett Osborn and John Baxter in the #1 Osborn Transport and MIA Engines sponsored car.

Andrew Magilton and Ryan Woods started alongside them in second and four hours later came up agonisingly short.

Magilton and Woods led a large majority of the final quarter of the raca, but in the end it is victors that take all the plaudits.

It was a thrilling race with no less than seven race leaders and so, so, so many lead changed over the two days of racing.

In the end it was just a straight shootout between the two leading combos, Ken Wright and Jett Blumeris rounded out the podium positions, finishing a lap behind the race leaders.

Two laps down were Peter Holmes and David Lines marched through the field to finish in fourth ahead of Adam Leech and Kerran Pridmore.

It was a very green race with only two of the 125 laps taking place behind the control of the safety car and 14 of the 18 cars were classified as finishers.

It was an epic weekend of old-school HQ racing and has people already awaiting the 2026 event.
